🦴 What kinds of pets do you care for?
Mostly dogs and cats, but I’ve also looked after rabbits, birds, reptiles, fish, chickens, and even goats!
I’m also comfortable with seniors, puppies, and pets who need medication or a little extra care.

🏠 Do you stay overnight or just visit during the day?
I primarily offer medium and long term overnight sits where I stay in your home and care for your pet as if they were my own. This option keeps your pets comfortable in their familiar space and gives you peace of mind while you’re away.
If you only need drop-in visits or daily walks, I can sometimes accommodate those depending on my own travel and work schedule.
I can also potentially host your pet at my home in Encinitas but it’s not my preferred way of working.
🐶 How do meet & greets work?
For new clients, I like to start with a free phone, Zoom, or Facetime call to meet you, learn about your pets, and go over your routines.
For an in-person meet & greet I ask for a $45-$65 nonrefundable deposit, which can be applied toward your first booking once confirmed. This helps me manage time and travel, while making sure you and your pets feel completely comfortable before we commit.
💳 How does payment work?
To reserve your dates, I require a deposit of two-thirds (⅔) of the total fee at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the first day of the sit.
I accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or other digital payment options.
If plans change, please let me know as soon as possible — I understand that life happens and I try to be flexible when I can. But also please understand that I likely turned down other work to be available for the dates we agreed upon, and thus need to protect my own interests accordingly.
🐾 What’s included in an overnight stay?
Every booking includes:
Feeding, walks, and playtime
Medication or special care if needed
Regular updates with photos or videos
Mail collection, light tidying, and plant watering
A clean and orderly home when you return
My goal is to make sure your pets feel loved and your home feels just as you left it — or better.
🌿 Can you also take care of the house while we’re away?
Yes! I’m tidy, respectful, and “light touch” by nature.
I’ll water plants, bring in mail, keep things clean, and handle small home or garden tasks as needed.
I’m also happy to adjust lighting or curtains for home security while you’re away.
🐕 Do you take dogs on outings or hikes?
Yes — with your permission.
I love getting outside and will tailor walks or hikes to your dog’s age, energy, and personality.
I always prioritize safety and stay in communication if we’re venturing out on longer adventures.
🐾 What areas do you serve?
I’m based in San Diego and willing to travel anywhere in the county.
I’ll occasionally travel to other areas on Southern California and beyond for the right situation.
If you’re outside the immediate area, reach out anyways!
Depending on timing and travel plans, I may be able to make it work.
✈️ Do you charge extra for holidays or last-minute bookings?
Yes. During major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, etc.), there’s typically a $30–$50 per night surcharge due to demand and limited availability.
For last-minute bookings (less than 48 hours notice), there may be a small additional fee to accommodate schedule adjustments.
🧡 What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 60 or more days before the agreed upon dates will receive a full refund of the deposit minus a $100 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 60 days before the start date can receive a half refund or credit towards a future booking with a $100 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 30 days before the start date are non-refundable, except for in situations of extreme circumstance.
I am willing to be flexible in these matters as I know that sometimes situations come up in life; but also please understand that when I agreed to the sit with you, I likely turned down other opportunities and need to protect my interests accordingly.
📸 Will I get updates while I’m away?
Absolutely! Communication is one of the things my clients appreciate most. I’ll send daily photos or videos and quick updates, so you always know how your pets are doing — and can enjoy your time away worry-free.
